Auto Body Flat Rate Technician
Location: Akiki Auto Body, 1550 River St, Hyde Park, MA 02136
Pay: Flat Rate $140,000.00 Annually

Our shop is fully equipped with state-of-the-art tools and technology to handle everything from passenger vehicles to medium-duty trucks.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Flat Rate Technician with expertise in medium-duty truck repairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collision repair, panel replacement, frame straightening, and refinishing. We have a backlog of work and unlimited hours available.
Responsibilities:
- Perform bodywork and structural repairs on medium-duty trucks
- Replace or repair damaged panels, frames, and other components
- Work with steel, aluminum, and composite materials
- Perform welding, grinding, and sanding as necessary
- Ensure proper alignment and fitment of replacement parts
- Collaborate with estimators and painters to ensure seamless repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Follow all safety protocols and manufacturer repair procedures
Qualifications:
- Experience in medium-duty truck body repairs (preferred)
- I-CAR certification (preferred but not required)
- Welding and Metalworking Experience
- Ability to read and interpret repair blueprints and estimates
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality repairs
- Valid driver’s license
