Operates welding equipment to weld and attach tanks or other components to cores following blueprint instructions under close supervision. This role focuses on learning foundational welding techniques and production processes.
- Read and follow work instructions and basic blueprints
- Move cores using manual effort or chain hoist
- Match tanks to cores with guidance
- Tack weld corners and assist in positioning tanks
- Perform basic welding operations under supervision
- Assist with additional parts installation if needed
- Move finished cores to designated area
- Meet entry-level production expectations
- Maintain clean and safe workspace
- Report issues to supervisor
- Stand 95% / Walk 5%
- Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
- Bend, stoop, twist, push, and pull regularly
- Operate pallet jack, chain hoist, and welding tools
- Must wear PPE always including steel toe shoes and safety equipment on the manufacturing floor
Completion of trade school OR apprenticeship OR internal on-the-job training
- Basic welding knowledge preferred
- Ability to work assigned shift
