What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ship Fork Truck Operator position at Akers Packaging Service Group?
Position Summary
The Fork Truck Operator operates a powered industrial fork truck for the purpose of transporting units of finished product from the converting operation and load that product into trailers for shipment to the customer or to the outside warehouse.
This Position Also Delivers On Our Core Focus Of:
✓Removes units of finished product from the conveyor lines at banding operation
✓Transports units to the staging areas in preparation for shipment
✓Transports units into outbound trailers for shipment to the customer or the warehouse
✓Unloads inbound trailers containing either raw materials, purchased product, or finished goods from the warehouse
✓Completes required paperwork including quantities and unit counts on the Factory Job Ticket and Shipping Bill of Lading
✓Performs daily fork truck inspections
✓Maintains good housekeeping in the shipping areas and trailers
✓Ability to work in excess of 40 hours, as business needs arise
✓Regular and reliable attendance
✓Any other task or duty that is deemed necessary by management.
