Tender Manager

What will you be doing?
Purpose Under general supervision, the individual competently performs all aspects of successful proposal execution, overseeing contract negotiations, and ensuring the successful initiation of projects. Duties will include all levels of management, planning and scheduling for the tender efforts. At an overall level the tender lead shall initiate, supervise, follow-up, get approved and conclude the proposal from receipt of inquiry until a contract has been concluded with the Client, and then initiate the project with successful handover to the base organization.

Essential Functions:

• Assist the Capture Manager with initiating, developing, concluding and follow-up the tender process
• Act as a single point of contact with the client for assigned tender(s)
• Initiate, lead, conclude and follow-up the tender process in accordance with tender PEM and global policy for assigned tenders
• Responsible for the accuracy, quality and relevance of the Xait proposal.
• Ensure that all personnel involved in assigned tenders are conducting the work according to the principles laid out in the Pursuit and Capture Governance procedures.
• Manage assigned tender support team, ensuring timely, technically sound, risk managed, commercially viable and competitive submissions.
• Ensure completion of all relevant forms in the Corporate Tendering Policy
• Monitor and maintain the tendering budget for assigned tenders
• Help ensure that the win and execution strategy are implemented into the proposal
• Facilitate required tender meetings to ensure tender progress
• Works with Project Management to establish schedule requirements and overall tender schedule.

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and assertiveness, the ability to plan and organize work in an efficient manner, and the ability to work well under stress and time pressures
