Qualifications:The Instrumentation Technician will be responsible for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, calibration, repair and/or replacement of electronic instrumentation and controls normally found in an manufacturing plant.
Responsibilities
• Calibrate instruments such as PLC’s and SCADA systems
• Install new electrical equipment, wiring, control systems, and various instrumentation devices such as transmitters and analyzers
• Perform preventative maintenance and calibrations on a range of equipment including mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical components.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning instrumentation, control systems, motors, and electrical systems
• Prepare and maintain detailed logs and reports regarding work progress, system operations, and repair activities
• Plan installation and commission of equipment as needed
• Work with engineers, operators, and cross-functional personnel to ensure optimal system performance and safety
• Monitor and trend inconsistencies to predict operational malfunction
• Perform electrical installations and repairs per code as required
• Collaborate with supplier / service vendors to ensure work strategies and timelines are met
• Perform general plant maintenance as required to ensure operational efficiencies and targets are met
• Observe and follow plant protocols for safety, hygiene, and good manufacturing practices
Additional Duties and Responsibility:

- Assist in other duties as required to ensure the facility meets goals
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Maintain accurate and sound inventory practices for operational excellence

Work Experience Requirements:
- Experience in industrial or commercial electrical trades for a minimum of 2 years.
- Knowledge of E&H and Emerson brand instrumentation
- Thorough knowledge of Lock out Tag out procedures
- Applicant should have experience in industrial or commercial electrical trades for a minimum of two years.
- Minimum Level 2 Instrumentation Certification
- Experience with hot/cold bath for temperature calibration
- Experience with Fluke process meters
- Understanding of OSHA safety requirements in a manufacturing environment
- Able to work independently or in a team environment
- Strong mathematical skills and strong decision making skills
Education Requirements:
• Experience in industrial or commercial electrical trades for a minimum of two years.
• Understanding of OSHA safety requirements in a manufacturing environment
• Strong mathematical and decision-making skills
• Able to read and follow written and verbal work instructions
• Experience with PLC's
• Proficient with entering data, interpreting analytics program, working within a computer-based maintenance
