Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of customer service and operational excellence
- Oversee daily store operations such as opening and closing procedures, cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) system management, and sales transactions
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, and coordinating purchasing to maintain optimal product availability
- Develop and implement merchandising strategies to enhance product presentation and boost sales performance
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure a welcoming shopping environment that promotes repeat business
- Coordinate marketing efforts to increase store visibility within the community through promotional events and outreach initiatives
- Supervise shift schedules, monitor sales goals, and motivate team members to achieve targets while fostering a collaborative team atmosphere
- Support the ARCC's mission and other team members
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in retail sales or a similar supervisory role with demonstrated leadership skills
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math principles
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff effectively and engage with diverse customers in multiple languages (multilingual/bilingual abilities are a plus)
- Experience in employee orientation, interviewing candidates, recruiting talent, and developing training programs
- Familiarity with bookkeeping, payroll processing, budgeting, and administrative tasks related to store operations
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff in a fast-paced environment while maintaining organizational efficiency
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques, pricing strategies, marketing initiatives, and inventory control practices
- Ability to manage time effectively across multiple responsibilities including shift management and customer service excellence
