Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS Toast.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Clear tables promptly and assist with bussing to maintain a clean dining area
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using POS or cashiering systems
- Provide guest relations by addressing questions, special requests, or concerns professionally
- Assist with basic food preparation or kitchen support as needed in a fine dining or food industry setting
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and wine or beverage pairings to enhance guest experience
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred; fine dining or
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights; weekend availability is preferred
- Previous host or bussing experience is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items and provide memorable guest experiences in a hospitality setting
