Duties
- Greet guests warmly and promptly upon arrival, providing excellent customer service from start to finish
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring efficient transaction processing
- Present menus confidently, upselling specials, wine pairings, spirits, and desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks professionally, maintaining high standards of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols
- Assist with bussing tables and resetting dining areas to maintain cleanliness and readiness for incoming guests
- Manage reservations through OpenTable or similar platforms, ensuring smooth seating flow and guest comfort
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely food preparation and delivery while adhering to food safety standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially fine dining or hospitality settings
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with cashiering and sales transaction processing preferred
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and food industry standards to provide expert recommendations
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse needs effectively
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to handle food safely, including proper sanitation practices and basic math for cash handling and billing accuracy
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is a plus; serving or host/hostess experience also valued
