Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining proper sanitation and food safety standards
- Assist with food preparation, food handling, and bussing tables to support smooth restaurant operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, including setting tables and sanitizing workspaces in accordance with sanitation guidelines
- Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to manage guest seating efficiently and maximize table turnover
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally
- Support kitchen staff when needed by assisting with basic food preparation or food industry tasks in a fast-paced environment
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Experience with serving, bussing, host/hostess duties, or food handling enhances your suitability for this role
- Strong communication skills combined with basic math proficiency for accurate cash handling and order processing
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food preparation techniques is essential
- Prior experience working with reservation platforms like OpenTable or similar systems is a plus
