This position is full-time with immediate availability. Option to work remotely in the NW region.

In this key role, you will apply the principles of electricity, power generation, electrical distribution, lighting, and sustainable power generation to assess and design systems working directly with other team members of Akana to meet our client’s project requirements. Our focus on good client service requires excellent communication, attention to details and cooperative teamwork.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform electrical engineering, schematic through final designs.
- Conduct ASHRAE Level I and 2 Energy Audits and provides recommended energy conservation measures for electrical equipment and systems.
- Review both electrical and mechanical drawing and specifications for constructability and energy efficiency.
- Perform commissioning site visits on all types of buildings and power distribution systems, including, electrical substations, switchgear, switchboards, and power generating equipment. Witness third party start-ups and testing system components.
- Provides hand-on physical assessments of building electrical systems and equipment.
- Facilitate functional performance testing of electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.
Minimum Required Key Qualifications:
- Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university
- EIT highly desirable but not required
- Professional Engineer Registrations are a plus!
- Electrical building or utility power distribution and lighting experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience
- Demonstrated CAD and 3D skills, Revit a plus
- Competent in the use of electrical engineering software
- Able to solve problems and troubleshoot as the need arises
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
