- Golf Operations & Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service to members, guests, and patrons at the golf course.
- Assist with tee time reservations, check-in, and manage the flow of play on the course.
- Monitor course conditions and provide timely feedback to the golf course superintendent.
- Assist in the daily management of golf cart fleet, club rentals, and other equipment.
- Golf Instruction:
- Teach group and private golf lessons to individuals of all skill levels.
- Conduct golf clinics and other training programs.
- Assist in the development of junior golf programs and women’s golf clinics.
- Provide feedback on swing mechanics, course strategy, and mental aspects of the game.
- Pro Shop Operations:
- Assist with managing the pro shop inventory, including golf clubs, apparel, accessories, and equipment.
- Help with merchandising and creating appealing product displays.
- Ensure the pro shop is clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Handle cash transactions, member billing, and retail sales.
- Tournaments & Events:
- Assist in organizing and running club tournaments, charity events, and golf outings.
- Coordinate tournament registration, scorecards, and other event logistics.
- Ensure smooth event execution and a positive experience for participants.
- Administration & Office Support:
- Assist with the creation of promotional materials and marketing for golf programs and events.
- Maintain accurate records of lesson schedules, member accounts, and tournament results.
- Provide administrative support to the Head Golf Professional as needed.
- Staff Supervision & Training:
- Assist in training and mentoring junior golf staff and outside service attendants.
- Help with overseeing daily operations of the golf course during peak times.
- Education: High school diploma required. A degree in Professional Golf Management (PGM) or a related field is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a golf operations role, including teaching and customer service.
- Experience working in a pro shop and/or assisting with tournaments is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in golf instruction and club fitting.
- Knowledge of golf course operations and management.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Certifications: PGA Associate or LPGA certification (or in progress) is preferred but not required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
