Position overview: The Painter/Handyman is responsible for painting the common areas of the property and providing exceptional customer service to all residents. The property is comprised of 27 midrise 3-6-story buildings, 721 units. This is a fulltime position Monday thru Friday, working outdoors 90% of the time.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing and painting surfaces of building structures, using proper application techniques
- Measuring lengths of surfaces to determine quantity of paint needed
- Plastering or spackling surfaces, mixing paint colors to match existing colors
- Applying paint to all building and equipment surfaces with brushes, rollers and spray guns
- Must be skilled in drywall repairs
- Cleans brushes, tools, and other equipment
- Must be able to work outdoors
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma (or equivalent) is required
- Highly reliable and punctual
- Customer Service-oriented
- At least 1 year of general experience in painting and building (preferably in a condo, HOA, residential or hotel setting)
- Ability to lift heavy paint cans, climb ladders, and work at heights, use of scaffolding
- Knowledge of safety standards
