Duties
- Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, ensuring safe lifting practices at all times
- Plan efficient delivery routes using mobile devices to maximize productivity and timely deliveries
- Deliver packages directly to customers’ doorsteps with professionalism and a focus on customer satisfaction
- Manually handle heavy items during loading, unloading, and delivery processes while maintaining safety protocols
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and proof of delivery via mobile devices
- Follow all safety procedures related to warehouse operations, heavy lifting, and material handling equipment operation
Skills
- Proven experience in delivery driving or warehouse operations with a focus on manual handling and moving heavy loads
- Valid driver’s license with experience in commercial truck driving or box truck operation; personal vehicle delivery experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of route driving, adhering to traffic laws, and safe driving practices with manual transmission vehicles preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, and manual handling techniques for weight management in the workplace
- Ability to operate mobile devices for navigation, route updates, and delivery documentation
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial driving and weight handling standards in the workplace
