Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
• Handle cleaning chemicals and agents safely, following proper chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition.
• Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices.
• Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and common areas regularly.
• Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or minor repairs when needed.
• Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a hazard-free environment for all staff and visitors.
• Support industrial cleaning or commercial cleaning projects as required, demonstrating versatility in custodial responsibilities.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are stored properly and maintained for optimal use.
• Contribute positively to team efforts by providing excellent customer service and responding promptly to facility needs.

Qualifications

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures is essential.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and industrial vacuums confidently.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and standing for extended periods is required.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout shifts.
• Commitment to safety protocol adherence and maintaining a hazard-free environment.
• Previous experience with facilities maintenance or residential painting is a plus but not mandatory.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
