Quality Assurance Engineer (ISO / Mechanical)

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives by executing PIT activities, capability studies, Gage R&R, SPC, and other quality‑improvement tools while promoting data‑driven decision‑making
• Support ISO/QS quality systems by serving as backup management representative, maintaining corrective and preventive action processes, and acting as the primary customer contact for quality issue resolution
• Deliver quality training and knowledge transfer by creating programs that teach tools, techniques, and TQM methods, and by mentoring teams during APQP, CAR, and process‑improvement activities
• Strengthen measurement and statistical systems by managing Gage R&R, maintaining CPK data, and ensuring departments understand and use statistical methods to improve processes
• Provide quality leadership and support by advising managers, guiding QA staff when needed, contributing to equipment/process qualification, and staying current with modern quality concepts
• Promote organizational improvement by proactively identifying issues, driving cost‑effective solutions, and contributing to environmental objectives and continuous enhancement of the management system

Qualifications

• Mechanical and laboratory aptitude, with preferred experience in metallurgical testing and hands‑on technical environments.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9000 and total quality principles, including quality philosophy, standards, and system requirements
• Effective communicator across all organizational levels, able to convey technical concepts clearly and collaborate with diverse teams
• Skilled in human relations, group dynamics, and structured problem‑solving, bringing analytical thinking, creativity, and initiative to improvement efforts
• Preferred certifications such as SQE, ASP, or ASME, demonstrating advanced quality engineering knowledge and professional development
