AJT Supplies is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions and support the company’s accounting operations. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely billing and payments, and supporting leadership with clear financial reporting.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can handle high transaction volume during peak seasons (spring mulch winter snow), and maintains strict accuracy and organization.
Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments
- Generate customer invoices for materials, deliveries, and services
- Track incoming payments (ACH, check, credit card)
- Follow up on outstanding balances and collections
Financial Recordkeeping
- Maintain accurate daily transaction records
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards
- Record deposits and expenses in accounting software
- Ensure proper coding of expenses and job costing where applicable
Reporting & Support
- Prepare monthly financial reports (P&L, cash flow, summaries)
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Support ownership/management with financial insights
- Work with CPA for tax preparation and year-end reporting
Payroll & Compliance
- Assist with payroll processing (including seasonal employees)
- Track employee hours, bonuses, and deductions
- Ensure compliance with state and multi-state payroll requirements
- Maintain organized financial and payroll records
Operational Support
- Support job costing for mulch, turf, snow, and delivery services
- Help track equipment, inventory costs, and margins
- Assist with software integrations (Service Channel, SiteFotos, etc.)
- Improve financial systems and processes for efficiency
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
