Overview:
This role is responsible for managing product costing, analyzing manufacturing variances, and supporting financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, ERP experience, and a proven ability to drive cost improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate product cost estimates for new and existing products.
- Maintain and update cost structures in ERP systems.
- Analyze cost variances and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Assist with month-end close, journal entries, and financial reporting.
- Support annual budgeting and weekly forecasting processes.
- Monitor and reconcile raw material and finished goods inventories.
- Manage fixed assets, including additions, disposals, and monthly inventories.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams on capital projects and CIP tracking.
- Provide backup support for payroll, accounts payable, and work order closures as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and special projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting standards.
- Strong ERP system knowledge and advanced Excel skills
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
