Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Duties, responsibilities and activities are listed in no particular order and may be changed or updated at any time with or without notice.)
- Responsible for scheduling deliveries and outbound shipments via phone and e-mail and managing inbound/outbound schedule.
- Accurately adjusts, receives, processes, and verifies inbound receipts into JDE inventory from outside cold storage warehouse via provided bills of lading and packing slips.
- Accurately receives film, labels, and other packaging.
- Communicates with procurement when needing an order quantity adjusted (-10%/ 10%) and addresses any delivery remainder.
- Maintains adequate inventory for non-inventoried warehouse supplies such as blank labels, gypsum sheets, plastic pallets, white wood pallets.
- Accurately processes transfer orders from outside cold storage warehouse to Carthage facility.
- Scans and maintains records of bills of lading for Carthage receipts.
- Helps manage planned inbound and outbound transfer dates at mouth-end.
- Creates manual bills of lading for non ERP shipments.
- Maintain safe and positive work environment in compliance with OSHA, company standards, and local, state and federal requirements
- Perform tasks necessary to meet warehouse goals
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork
- Manage day to day inventory levels
- Maintain Forklift certification
- Periodic inventories
- Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends to management remedial actions to resolve discrepancies
- Timely execution of daily receiving and shipping load board oversee the receipt of purchased goods verifying counts, quality and complete all required paperwork and transactions associated to this process
- Stacks and arranges product on pallets
- Completes forklift and pallet jack inspections before each shift
- Replenish stock while maintaining a cleaned and organized warehouse/location daily
- Moves product in warehouse/location as necessary during reallocations of space or taking of inventory
- Rotates product and arranges according to Julian dates or FIFO (first in first out)
- Receives and checks against receiving documents incoming products, ensuring proper product code, quantity and condition; reports any discrepancies to the lead
- Operates electric forklifts and pallet jacks
- Works in and out of the freezers, temperatures average 32 degrees to -25 degrees
- General support of production
Employee Safety Responsibilities:
- Report all injuries, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts and horseplay
- Use proper lifting techniques
- Use mechanical assistance (handjack, forklift, manlift)
- Use personal assistance (buddy)
- Use handrails
- Use and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

QUALIFICATIONS
- Prefer High school diploma or GED
- 3-4 years of warehouse, manufacturing or production experience
- One year of shift lead experience with sound, effective communication skills
- Maintain forklift certification
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Ability to work in production/warehouse environment with constant exposure to loud machinery
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures, both indoors and outdoors
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment

- Continuously required to sit or stand, control pedals and driving a forklift.
- Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, crouching and squatting.
- Occasional reaching at shoulder height and working at shoulder height, body bending, climbing stairs, lifting up to 80 pounds at shoulder height, handling - gross motor and fine motor of the fingers.
- Will be exposed to loud industrial type environments commonly found at plants and working with power equipment. Also exposed to toxic chemicals.
- Varied temperatures from hot and humid to very cold.
