Project Manager/Estimator - Commercial Construction

AJB General Contractor has been operating in the Las Vegas Valley as a commercial general contractor since 1989. We specialize in Commercial Ground-Up, Tenant Improvement, and Design-Build Projects, under $5 million. With a reputation built on quality, trust, and long-standing relationships, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager/Estimator to join our team.

We're looking for a Project Manager/Estimator to join our team - someone with strong analytical skills who can confidently prepare detailed project estimates and, along with a construction team and Senior Management, manage projects from pre-construction through closeout.

What You'll Do

• Review plans, specifications, and site conditions to develop accurate Hard Bids and Budget Estimates
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals
• Identify trade scopes and issue Invitations to Bid (ITBs)
• Prepare professional, client-ready proposal packages
• Develop and track project schedules and budgets
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal team members
• Administer subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders
• Approve invoices and monitor project costs
• Ensure project quality, safety, and schedule are maintained throughout construction
• Represent AJB professionally with clients, consultants, and agencies
  
  

Requirements

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 3 years of experience in commercial estimating and/or project management
• Strong understanding of construction documents and trade scopes
• Excellent math skills and comfort working with budgets and detailed proposals
• Team player with a collaborative mindset and a strong sense of accountability
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with project management software is a plus
• Familiarity with Las Vegas-area permitting and building processes is a bonus
• Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
