Ajax Tocco Magnethermic (ATM), a subsidiary of ParkOhio, traces its roots back to the 1800s and has a rich history of excellence in induction heating and melting solutions. The present company was formed in 1959 when the Magnethermic Corporation acquired the assets of Ajax Electrothermic Corp. combining their expertise and capabilities.
Job Duties
- Build and repair coils, furnaces, inductors, busswork, water-cooled leads, transformers, and other components for induction heating and melting applications.
- Construct products from blueprints, verbal or written instructions, or by comparison to existing products.
- Demonstrate safe work practices in an industrial environment.
- Mix and install various types of refractory materials, including dry vibe, wet ram, castable, and plastic.
- Cut, arrange, and install fire brick.
- Work with materials such as copper, brass, stainless steel, rigid fiberglass insulation, wood, and others.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Vocational training preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial setting.
- Ability to work in hot, dusty, and occasionally loud environments.
- Comfortable working around fumes from welding, burning torches, and refractory installation.
- Average mathematical and reasoning ability.
- Physically capable of performing demanding tasks.
