The Staff Accountant is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services. This includes processing and monitoring expenditures, maintaining accurate and completeness of accounting records. Collaborate with Financial Managers and other team members to successfully execute various accounting tasks.

Responsibilities
- Prepare, verify and process A/P invoices and coding payment documents.
- Assist in auditing payment reports.
- Assist in processing weekly vendor checks.
- Reconcile monthly vendor statements.
- Cash management entries and bank reconciliations.
- Fixed asset additions and disposals in SAGE.
- Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files.
- Assist in month end closing procedures.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
- Various other periodic financial reporting.
- Bachelor’s Accounting of Finance degree preferred, related experience or Associate’s degree plus experience will also be considered.
- Knowledge of office administration and bookkeeping procedures. This includes banking and cash management.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet aggressive deadlines.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively outside the box with sound judgment and accurate analysis
- Great attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
- Computer skills including the ability to operate accounting systems and Microsoft Office programs.
- Construction accounting a plus.
- Be honest and trustworthy.
- Demonstrate sound work ethics and good judgement.
- Seek guidance and direction from the Controller as necessary for performance of duties.
- Respect and adhere to the confidentiality of the company, customer and personnel information.
