Ground Excavator & Installer
AJ Signs is looking for another Ground Excavator & Installer to join our growing team at our Burnt Hills, NY headquarters. We are seeking motivated self-starters who take pride in their work and have a strong attention to detail. Experience in either Excavation, Equipment Operation, Carpentry, Installation, and/or General Construction is preferred, but we also provide on the job training. Crane certification, and/or CDL is a major plus.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Utilizing our fleet of machinery and tools to ensure that the excavation sites are adequately prepared to spec, leveled, and/or cleared of any obstacles to facilitate sign installation.
- Collaborate with a skilled team to install a wide range of signage, including monument signs, pylon signs, channel letters, and interior signs.
- Execute a dynamic installation schedule covering various locations across the greater Capital Region.
- Maintain an organized and safe work environment throughout the project.
- Perform maintenance, retrofitting, and upgrades on existing signage.
- Maintain records of work performed, including installation details, excavation measurements, and equipment maintenance logs.

Other Requirements:
- Standing and walking for the majority of the work day.
- Frequent lifting and reaching.
- Working at various heights on ladders and lifts.
- Lifting large objects up to 75lbs.
- Working year-round outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
- Clean driving record. CDL a plus.
- OSHA Certification is helpful.
