Position Summary:
The Material Handler is responsible for loading, unloading, transporting, and storing materials within the plant to ensure timely delivery of products to internal and external customers. This position plays a critical role in maintaining production flow, supporting shipping operations, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials to and from racks, shelves, and vehicles such as trucks.
- Transport materials throughout the plant as required to support production and shipping needs.
- Stack, pile, shrink wrap, and band materials to secure items for safe transport.
- Store materials according to specifications and production requirements.
- Receive and track materials using QAD/Eagle system.
- Create and attach identifying labels, tags, or markings to containers and materials.
- Follow and promote adherence to all safety policies and plant rules.
- Report any unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and storage locations.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required
- No prior experience required; previous experience operating a tow motor preferred
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License
- Tow Motor License (required or obtainable)
Essential Skills:
- Ability to read and follow basic work instructions
- Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Comfort working in environments where safety rules are strictly enforced
- Awareness of safety symbols, signals, and hazard recognition

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 35lbs regularly.
- Frequent standing, walking, stooping, and bending.
- Occasional climbing and reaching overhead.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment, including tow motors and pallet jacks.
- Adequate visual acuity and hand-eye coordination for labeling and system data entry.
- Must be able to work in warehouse/plant environments that may include noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including ear and eye protection as required.
