AJ physical therapy, a private outpatient clinic, is looking for a physical therapy aide to work part-time to full-time ASAP.
We are a bustling orthopedic clinic in Encino looking for a new team member. Training would take place with all team-members. This clinic is looking for someone with basic exercise knowledge, interpersonal skills, and some computer abilities. This position is great for someone who is prePT. ```Duties```
- Assist physical therapists in providing patient care and treatment
- Set up equipment and prepare treatment areas for therapy sessions
- Escort patients to and from therapy sessions
- Monitor patients during therapy sessions and report any changes or concerns to the physical therapist
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and billing

- Anatomy knowledge: Understanding of the human body's structure and function
- Medical terminology: Familiarity with medical terms and abbreviations used in healthcare settings
- Acute care: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, providing care to patients with acute conditions
- Hospital experience: Previous experience working in a hospital setting is preferred
- Patient service: Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with patients in a compassionate and professional manner
- Physiology knowledge: Understanding of how the body's systems work together to maintain health
- Patient care: Ability to assist patients with activities of daily living, such as transferring, ambulating, and personal hygiene
Note: The Physical Therapy Aide position does not require formal education or certification. However, candidates with relevant coursework or certifications in healthcare or physical therapy assistance will be preferred.
