Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and welding, with experience in various manufacturing processes. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work with a variety of materials and tools. The Fabricator will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and schematics, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the fabrication process.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine specifications and requirements for fabrication projects.
- Utilize MIG and TIG welding techniques to assemble metal components, ensuring adherence to ASME codes and standards.
- Operate various fabrication equipment including press brake machines, plasma cutters, and power tools.
- Perform tasks such as pipe threading, ductwork assembly, and rigging as required by project specifications.
- Use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure precision in fabrication processes.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve production efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fabrication within a manufacturing or construction environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, and other welding techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with construction site practices and safety regulations.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery safely.
- Experience with machining processes and soldering techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
