What are the responsibilities and job description for the ERP Solution Architect – Microsoft Dynamics position at Aivance Advisory?
Company Description
Aivance Advisory is an independent consulting firm specializing in guiding organizations through critical stages of enterprise software transformations, including ERP, SCM, HCM, EPM, and CX platforms. Unlike vendors and system integrators, Aivance operates without hidden agendas, referral fees, or software quotas, focusing solely on empowering clients to make clear and confident decisions. The firm's services encompass vision realization, business case justification, and strategic system selection, ensuring tailored solutions that align with organizational goals, accelerate decision-making, and enable seamless transitions. Aivance is committed to partnering with clients to drive their success with innovative strategies and trusted methodologies.
Why This Role Exists
We’re implementing Microsoft Dynamics ERP in an environment where finance, supply chain, and commodity trading are tightly interwoven. Grain doesn’t just sit in inventory—it moves, transforms, gets priced dynamically, and impacts financials in real time.
This role exists to ensure the ERP system accurately reflects that reality—by owning the end-to-end solution design across Finance and Supply Chain, and acting as the bridge between business leaders and the System Integrator (SI).
What You’ll Own
- Define and own the end-to-end ERP solution architecture across Finance and Supply Chain
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the SI partner
- Design workflows spanning procurement, inventory, warehousing, logistics, and financial settlement
- Ensure alignment between physical grain movements and financial outcomes (valuation, P&L, mark-to-market)
- Drive integration architecture with CTRM systems (DycoTrade, Quoreka)
- Review and challenge SI designs to ensure they reflect real operational and trading workflows
- Identify gaps across modules (Finance ↔ Supply Chain ↔ CTRM) and resolve them early
- Establish design governance, decision frameworks, and change control
Who Thrives Here
- 7 years in ERP roles with strong exposure to both Finance and Supply Chain modules (Dynamics preferred)
- Experience in agriculture, commodities, or grain trading environments
- Understanding of end-to-end flows: procurement → storage → movement → sale → financial settlement
- Familiarity with mark-to-market accounting and inventory valuation in trading contexts
- Experience working with or alongside System Integrators (SIs)
- Exposure to CTRM platforms (DycoTrade, Quoreka, or similar) is a strong plus
- Able to operate across domains—you connect operational reality with financial impact
- Comfortable making decisions and aligning stakeholders without full clarity upfront
Logistics
- Employment Type: Contract
- Location: Flexible / Hybrid
- Travel: Moderate (aligned with implementation phases)
- Compensation: Competitive, based on experience
- Hiring Process: Intro → Deep dive (Finance Supply Chain scenarios) → Case discussion → Final round
