Musical Set Design Position - Aitkin High School

Aitkin High School is searching for a part-time Musical Set Designer to work with staff and students for the 2026-2027 school spring musical. This part-time Musical Set Design position will be responsible for all matters pertaining to the organization and administration of the set design and construction.

Primary Responsibilities:

• -> Assist the musical director as needed in building and designing the set.
• -> Perform other relevant duties regarding the set designs.
• -> Supervise students and assist in the set design process.
• -> Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
• -> Assist in rehearsals and daily set changes to enhance performances.
• -> Work with musical directors with lighting, sound, blocking and staging of scenes.

Qualifications:

• -> Evidence of and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• -> Strong communications and interpersonal skills when working with other staff, parents, community members, supervisors and students.
• -> Ability to receive feedback and adjust accordingly.
• -> Strong work ethic and dedication to further the benefits of student participation in co-curricular activities.
• -> Ability to perform essential job functions or as assigned.
