Role Overview:
The Junior Systems Test Engineer (SEIT) supports system-level testing, integration, and verification of Aitech’s embedded hardware and software systems. Role Overview:
The Junior Systems Test Engineer (SEIT) supports system-level testing, integration, and verification of Aitech’s embedded hardware and software systems. Working closely with senior test engineers and the Systems Engineering team, the Junior SEIT will gain hands-on experience in aerospace and defense systems, learning to execute test plans, document results, and assist in system validation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support system-level test planning and execution under guidance from senior test engineers.
- Assist in integration and testing of embedded hardware and software systems to verify functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Document and track test results, anomalies, and defects, providing clear reports to senior engineers.
- Participate in design reviews and verification activities, including SRR, PDR, TRR, CDR, and PRR.
- Assist with configuration management to maintain accurate test artifacts, procedures, and documentation.
- Learn to apply aerospace and defense standards, including MIL-STD-810, DO-160, MIL-STD-461, and relevant communication protocols.
- Support development of automated test scripts and frameworks to improve efficiency and repeatability.
- Contribute to problem-solving and root cause analysis under supervision.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems, hardware, firmware, and software engineering.
Requirements:
What You Bring / Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Electrical, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering (or currently pursuing).
- 0–3 years of experience in systems test, integration, or verification, preferably in defense, aerospace, or embedded systems.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person eligible to work on defense/aerospace programs.
- Internship or co-op experience in embedded systems, aerospace, or defense programs.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW) for test automation.
- Exposure to MIL-STD, DO-178, DO-254, or AS9100 standards.
- Familiarity or willingness to learn aerospace lifecycle processes (SRR, PDR, TRR, CDR, PRR) and relevant standards.
- Basic knowledge of system design and testing principles.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and follow guidance from senior engineers.
