We are a busy kosher supermarket in Lakewood, NJ seeling an experienced baker to run and manage our bakery department. This role focuses on baking and finishing par-baked items, maintaining quality, and keeping the department running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Bake and finish par-baked breads, rolls, and bakery items
- Manage daily bakery production and workflow
- Ensure product quality, freshness, and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
- Assist with ordering, inventory, and basic bakery planning
- Train or supervise bakery staff as needed
Requirements:
- Prior bakery experience required
- Comfortable working with par-baked / pre-made doughs (not scratch baking)
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
- Knowledge of basic food safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 50 per week
