Position Summary
Industrial Facility Maintenance Team Member
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Industrial Facility Maintenance Team Member to join our 1st shift operations. This position is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective operation of our buildings, grounds, and production equipment through preventative and corrective maintenance.
Position Responsibilities
The Facility Maintenance Team Member will:
- Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, and facility-related systems.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.
- Diagnose and resolve industrial control issues including:
- 0–10V analog signals
- 4–20mA current loops
- 24VDC and 120VAC control systems
- Work safely with and around 480V/208V, 3-phase and single-phase electrical systems.
- Install, inspect, and maintain large-capacity HVAC and mechanical systems, including 450HP compressors and 250-ton chillers.
- Operate aerial work platforms and forklifts safely (up to 65 feet).
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS and support root cause analysis of recurring issues.
- Support building and grounds upkeep including structural, plumbing, and lighting maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, internal safety standards, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support equipment upgrades and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational certification in electrical, HVAC, controls, or industrial maintenance preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of industrial electrical systems (480V/208V).
- Basic understanding of controls troubleshooting including 0–10 V, 4–20 mA, 24 VDC, and 120 VAC circuits.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical repair.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures, OSHA safety standards, and safe work practices.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various environments.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational certification in electrical, HVAC, industrial maintenance, or related field preferred.
Experience:
- 2 years of industrial or commercial maintenance experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience with controls troubleshooting (0–10 V, 4–20 mA, 24 VDC, 120 VAC).
- Experience in manufacturing or automotive industry strongly desired.
- Proven skills in electrical troubleshooting, equipment repair, and preventative maintenance programs.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) a plus.
Travel Requirements
- Local travel: Approximately 0–5%.
- Occasional travel to vendors, training sessions, or other company facilities may be required.
- Must be willing and able to travel if business needs dictate.
