Job Summary
We are seeking an Practice Manager to join our team. In this role, you will coordinate all administrative duties ensuring the workplace operates smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include bookkeeping, credentialing providers, negotiating with insurance companies, overseeing staff. The ideal candidate is highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to implement systems and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Maintain office equipment in good working order with the assistance of the IT department
- Pay and record invoices
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors and service providers
- Accurately maintain general office budget
- Recording transactions in the appropriate company account ledgers using spreadsheets or accounting software
- Reviewing account ledgers for accuracy and correcting errors, such as duplications or typos
- Assist Accountant with preparing basic financial documents
- Reconciling accounts by comparing bank information to records
- Organizing receipts, invoices and physical copies of financial documents
- Completing research and aiding staff accountants as needed
- Handling all office and provider credentialing
- Supervising and training non-clinical staff
- Processing payroll and any other payroll duties
- Overseeing appointment scheduling and patient flow
- Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations
- Managing relationships with insurance providers and vendors
- Improving practice efficiency and productivity
- Providing excellent customer service to patients and families
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required, some college preferred
- Previous experience as an Office Manager or similar position preferred
- At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience
- Understanding of office equipment, systems, and procedures
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
