Rental Coordinator - Heavy Construction Equipment

AIS Construction Equipment, Michigan’s oldest family-owned heavy equipment company, is seeking a Rental Coordinator to join our Traverse City branch. This in-person role is ideal for someone who is organized, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for rental customers (phone, email, and in-person)
• Prepare rental quotes, contracts, and process returns
• Coordinate equipment deliveries, pick-ups, and daily scheduling
• Communicate with technicians, drivers, and sales teams
• Track equipment availability and maintain accurate rental records
• Deliver exceptional customer service and support

Requirements

• Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
• Experience in rentals, dispatching, equipment, or customer service
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent organization and multitasking abilities
• Comfortable using computers and rental software
• Reliable, professional, and able to work in person Monday–Friday
