Position Summary
- Responsible for inspecting aircraft engine components to ensure compliance with FAA regulations,
OEM specifications, and company quality standards.
- Ensures all parts meet airworthiness requirements prior to assembly or return to service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of engine components
- Inspect Lycoming and Continental parts for wear, cracks, corrosion, and dimensional accuracy
- Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges
- Conduct or assist with NDT inspections (MPI, FPI, ultrasonic, eddy current)
- Interpret OEM manuals, FAA regulations, and service bulletins
- Document inspection results accurately and maintain traceability
- Identify and segregate non-conforming parts
- Coordinate with machinists and assembly technicians
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in aircraft engine maintenance, machining, or inspection
- Strong understanding of precision measurement tools
- Ability to read technical manuals and blueprints
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
- FAA Part 145 Repair Station experience
- Familiarity with Lycoming and Continental engines
- NDT certifications (MPI, FPI, etc.)
- A&P; License (preferred but not required)
