POSITION SUMMARY
The Operation Engineering Technician supports operations‑focused Product Engineers by assisting with testing, documentation, prototype builds, troubleshooting, and day‑to‑day production support within an ISO 9001–certified manufacturing environment. This hands‑on role plays a critical part in ensuring product readiness, maintaining accurate technical documentation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The Engineering Technician works closely with engineering, operations, and quality teams to help ensure rotary machinery products meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide hands-on technical support to manufacturing operations, including assisting and resolving mechanical issues and assisting with process improvements.
- Assist Product Engineers with product testing, data collection, and test setup to verify technical specifications and operational requirements.
- Assemble prototype components and support sample builds to validate design intent.
- Support root‑cause analysis activities by gathering data, inspecting components, and documenting findings.
- Assist in evaluating supplier components and preparing parts for inspection or testing.
- Perform hands‑on mechanical work, including assembly, disassembly, measurement, and inspection of rotary machinery components.
- Maintain organized records of test results, build notes, and engineering activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, throughput, and cost reduction.
- Demonstrate initiative, follow‑through, and the ability to complete assigned tasks on time and within scope.
- Collaborate effectively with engineering, operations, and quality teams to support production needs.

- Strong hands‑on mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools, fixtures, and rotating equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation is a plus.
- Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo Parametric, or similar) is a plus.
- Familiarity with GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and basic tolerance concepts is a plus.
- Ability to work safely with mechanical equipment and rotating machinery.
- Strong communication and interpersonal problem‑solving skills.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, maintain documentation accuracy, and manage multiple tasks.
- Basic understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems is a plus.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or related technical field; or equivalent hands‑on experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or technical support role preferred.
- Experience with rotary machinery or mechanical assembly is a plus.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
