We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team and drive excellence in maintaining and repairing HVAC systems across diverse property types. As an integral part of our property maintenance team, you will ensure optimal indoor climate control, system efficiency, and safety for our clients and their facilities.
Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform routine inspections of HVAC equipment to identify potential problems before they escalate, ensuring continuous operation.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems such as condensate drain lines or refrigerant piping repairs.
- Use specialized tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for repairs requiring metal fabrication.
- Repair appliances related to property maintenance including refrigeration units and other mechanical systems.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs performed for compliance and future reference.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a strong background in construction or property maintenance.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems with the ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair, welding, boiler operation, and ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems related to HVAC operations and the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Ability to perform field service tasks efficiently while adhering to safety standards; valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred.
- Experience working with HVAC design principles and understanding of mechanical components involved in air conditioning and ventilation systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to coordinate with team members and clients effectively. Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
