What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Programmer / Machinist position at AIRTECH INTERNATIONAL INC?
As a member of the Additive Manufacturing team, you will set up and operate some of the world’s most advanced large scale additive manufacturing hybrid printers utilizing the most advanced polymer technologies available. Our team-oriented culture embraces continuous improvement and ensures operational and process excellence. In this position you will use the latest CAD and simulation software.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
In order to be successful in this role you’ll need to be able to handle the following:
- Setup and operation of multi-axis machining equipment.
- Machine 3D printed tools, details and parts in accordance with customer specifications.
- Create multi-axis machine programs from customer supplied part models and specifications.
- Generate machine process set-up sheets and required supporting documentation.
- Ensure that company quality and standard processes and procedures are followed, and that appropriate documents and paperwork are accurately completed on a timely basis.
- Check and inspect all details, assemblies and finished product for conformance to customer specifications.
- Use measuring equipment: micrometers, calipers, etc.
- Able to work varied shifts, overtime, and weekends when necessary.
- Notify supervisor or manager of any potential safety hazards.
- Sustain regular, reliable and punctual attendance.
- Perform other tasks and duties as required by management.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Proficiency with Mastercam 3D programming software
- 3-5 years demonstrated experience in setup, fixturing, and programming of CNC Milling Machines.
- Demonstrated experience within process inspections, requiring the reading of micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
- Demonstrated blueprint reading skills, and basic knowledge of geometric tolerancing.
Preferred:
- Associates or other manufacturing degree or certifications.
- Experience in composites or polymer machining.
- Laser tracker, laser scanner, or CMM inspection capability.
- 5-axis tool path generation knowledge for printing or cutting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of composite manufacturing and tool or mold making practices.
- Familiarity of ITAR, ATF, EAR.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand and walk, as well as push, pull, squat, bend, stoop and reach frequently during shifts.
- Ability to regularly push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
