SUMMARY The Packer helps ensure that manufactured items are ready for shipment by placing them into containers, sealing and labeling the items, and preparing the item for transport. They also perform final checks for defective items, ensure all items make it to the loading area or inventory, and keep detailed records of materials and shipments. Weighing packages and labeling them appropriately Inspecting packages to ensure they are not damaged Inspecting shipping containers to ensure they meet shipping regulations Assembling daily orders by shipping location or any other shipping categories Keeping records of packages including delivery notes, invoices, etc. Filling out packing and order forms with the relevant shipping information Sealing shipping containers and labeling them appropriately Cleaning shipping containers and other shipping supplies Other duties as assigned EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or GED or related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience Solid work history and attendance record QUALIFICATIONS Ability to work overtime when production demand requires it Must demonstrate a good attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Ability to exhibit good judgment related to safety and quality Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations Basic math, computer and keyboarding skills to work within the ERP system Must be 18 years of age or older Must be authorized to work in the US PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are represented of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Total Rewards The compensation range for this position is $31,500.00 - $47,300.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan. Salary : $31,500 - $47,300
