Job Title: Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic OCONUS

Reports to: Shop Lead/Director of Maintenance

Position Summary

King Air/DHC-8 Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanics support our maintenance team and are responsible for ensuring the assigned aircraft are maintained in accordance with FAA standards and all logbook and company reporting requirements are met. This position contributes as a team member to maintain high aircraft availability rates 365 days per year. A&P Mechanics may supervise any contracted technicians performing specialized inspections, repairs, or logistical support on or off site.

Essential Functions

• Completes aircraft and engine maintenance as required or needed.
• Follows established and normal aviation safety procedures and processes.
• Maintains complete and accurate maintenance records.
• Conducts scheduled inspections and completes follow-up as required.
• Inspects engines, landing gear, instruments, pressurized sections, brakes, valves, pumps, air-conditioning systems and other aircraft related systems.
• Complete necessary maintenance and repairs (replacements) on the aircraft, its subsystems, and components.
• Repairs sheet metal or composite surfaces and assemblies.
• Checks for and corrects corrosion, distortion, and cracks in the fuselage, wings, and tail and other subassemblies IAW with applicable instructions and directives.
• Troubleshoots as needed to all aircraft systems.
• Keeps a clean and orderly work area.
• Tool box must be inventoried and have a list of the inventory.
• Punctuality to work each day and prepared to work scheduled work hours.

Minimum Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship.
• High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience.
• FAA issued Airframe & Powerplant Certification.
• Experience with aircraft Avionics and ISR Systems.
• Certifications for specific aircraft may also be required.
• Possess and maintain necessary certifications, licenses, and permits as required for assigned work.
• Ability to secure & maintain a Secret level security clearance.
• Ability to successfully pass a drug test.

Travel

• Travel and rotational deployment throughout the United States and locations outside of the United States, including austere locations, is required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a variety of physical conditions, including austere conditions.
• Ability to wear a respirator or other required safety equipment.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
