Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Welder Fabricator located at our facility in Detroit, MI. The Welder Fabricator will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, assembling and welding metal components, ensuring precision and quality, and maintaining equipment. Daily responsibilities include preparing materials, operating welding machinery, inspecting completed work for accuracy, and adhering to safety protocols. Collaboration with team members to achieve project timelines will also be a key aspect of the role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
- Experience in metal fabrication processes, including cutting, grinding, and assembling
- Proficient use of welding tools, machines, and related fabrication equipment
- Knowledge of safety practices and procedures associated with welding and fabrication
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment
- Relevant certifications, such as Certified Welder (CW), are a plus
- Previous experience in custom fabrication or manufacturing is preferred
