About the Role
As the Lab Technician you will be responsible for managing all aspects of Airspan's wireless lab in Warren, NJ. This is a hands-on role and will involve physical labor. You will also be working on network configuration, handling test equipment support, purchasing, shipping/receiving, as well as working with facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain all lab infrastructure, including switches, routers, terminal servers and Linux hosts.
- General system administration of both Windows and Linux systems.
- Create, maintain, and support radio frequency lab cabling and equipment
- Create, maintain, and delete various IP networks and services (DNS, routes, DHCP servers, VPN, etc).
- Manage physical organization of the lab, rack builds, and cabling etc.
- Document the various environments within the lab and produce "How To" procedures and reference material
- Manage calibration and support of lab test equipment
- Manage lab material, inventory, and procurement
- Manage office and lab logistics
- Maintain lab safety and ESD standards
- Work with Airspan Facilities on topics related to the building, power and cooling.
- Work with Airspan Finance for procurement and equipment purchases.
- Work within the policies and guidelines of Airspan IT, specifically as they relate to cybersecurity.
- Other duties as required
Key Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor's degree and 1 years' experience in any IP networks, RF networks, Windows, and/or Linux system administration.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and balance priorities.
- Ability to take a high-level requirement and execute to completion.
- Physical ability to complete tasks such as climbing ladders and pulling cables.
- Knowledge of lab safety standards.
