About the Role
The HR Generalist / Recruiter is a dual-function position responsible for managing all U.S. recruitment activities while providing hands-on support across HR operations. This role partners closely with the HR Director, hiring managers, and cross-functional leaders, acting as a key contributor to both talent acquisition and day-to-day HR support.
Given the lean structure of the HR team, this position plays a critical role in ensuring smooth hiring processes, consistent HR operations, accurate employee data, and strong coordination between HR, payroll, and IT.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting (Primary Focus – ~65–70%)
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for all U.S. positions, including sourcing, screening, interview scheduling, hiring manager partnership, and closing.
- Develop job descriptions, clarify requirements, and maintain a structured and compliant evaluation process.
- Proactively source qualified candidates through direct outreach, referrals, networking, and job boards (no ATS or LinkedIn Recruiter seat currently in place).
- Present qualified shortlists and advise hiring managers on selection, compensation alignment, and offer strategy.
- Coordinate all aspects of the offer process, including reference checks, offer letter preparation, negotiations, and pre-onboarding steps.
- Maintain tracking spreadsheets and reporting to monitor hiring progress, pipeline status, and time-to-fill metrics.
- Strengthen employer branding and ensure excellent candidate experience.
HR Generalist Support (Secondary Scope – ~30–35%)
- Provide backup support to the HR Director for HR operations, including:
- Preparation of offer letters
- New-hire onboarding administration and coordination with IT for equipment and system access.
- HRIS and employee data maintenance (manual tracking tools until HR systems are upgraded).
- Payroll support such as employee changes, data review, and accuracy checks.
- Benefits/employee support.
- Compliance recordkeeping, audit preparation, and policy documentation updates.
- Provide backup support to the Senior Payroll Administrator including:
- Set-up of payroll tax codes for other states.
- Stay up-to-date with current employment law.
- Help streamline HR processes and assist in developing standard operating procedures.
- Support broader HR initiatives and employee experience efforts.
Qualifications
Required
- 5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience across technical and corporate roles.
- Strong direct sourcing skills and ability to fill roles without an ATS or LinkedIn Recruiter seat.
- Experience supporting HR operations tasks (onboarding, employee records, HR documentation, payroll coordination).
- Must reside within commuting distance of Plano, TX and be willing to work on-site 5 days per week.
Preferred
- Fluency is Spanish is helpful to support the Colombia office payroll & employees (offer letters, salary reviews, etc.)
