Job Summary
The Construction Billing Specialist is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and processing accurate and timely billing for construction projects. This role works closely with project managers, accounting, and clients to ensure compliance with contracts, budgets, and billing schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit progress billings, AIA billings, time & materials invoices, and change order billings
- Review contracts, subcontracts, and change orders to ensure proper billing terms are followed
- Track job costs, retainage, lien waivers, and payment schedules
- Verify labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs for billing accuracy
- Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve client billing questions
- Maintain detailed billing records and supporting documentation
- Coordinate with project managers on billing status and project financials
- Assist with monthly closings, audits, and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
Required Qualification
- 2 years of construction billing or construction accounting experience
- Knowledge of construction contracts, AIA billing, and job costing
- Proficiency in accounting or construction software (e.g., Sage, Procore, Textura, QuickBooks)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Work Environment
- Office-based with frequent coordination with field and project staff
- Fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
Knowledge of Quickbooks, Excel, AIA, Progressive Billing, Construction Billing & Background.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $90, $100,000.00 per year
