The Credentialing & Compliance Intern plays a critical role in maintaining accurate provider records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting operational efficiency across credentialing and lease management functions. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage data across multiple systems.

The Credentialing & Compliance Intern plays a critical role in maintaining accurate provider records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting operational efficiency across credentialing and lease management functions. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage data across multiple systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Update EMR systems with appropriate payors and effective dates for providers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Review and validate re-credentialing dates within the credentialing database
- Conduct license reviews with Chiropractic and Physical Therapy boards to ensure accuracy
- Verify the accuracy of provider license information across multiple states
- Confirm payors have updated their directories to reflect recent provider changes
- Assist with quarterly compliance audits by gathering and validating required documentation
- Extract and interpret key information from lease agreements with a high level of accuracy
- Maintain and track updates to lease data, ensuring records are current and complete
- Collaborate with internal team members to resolve discrepancies or missing information
- Accurately enter, organize, and upload documents into storage database
- Apply and maintain strict naming conventions for all digital files and records
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management or Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Ability to exhibit high ethical standards, professionalism, and maintain confidentiality
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Part-time: 20-25 hours per week, in office
- $15.00 - $17.00 per hour (based on experience)
