Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the flow of goods within our warehouse, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Operate various warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load and unload materials.
- Manage inventory control processes to ensure accurate stock levels and effective distribution.
- Perform picking and packing of orders for shipping, ensuring all items are correctly selected and packaged.
- Assist in shipping and receiving operations, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse to comply with OSHA standards.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory and processing orders.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve efficiency.
- Drive to suppliers to pickup materials.
- Drop off materials needed on jobsites for our technicians.
Skills
- Proficient in inventory management techniques and practices.
- Experience operating heavy equipment including forklifts, cranes, and reach trucks.
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes and best practices.
- Driving skills in city and surrounding areas in a box van.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and materials handling tasks safely.
- Previous experience in warehouse management or as a warehouse supervisor is preferred.
- Understanding of packaging requirements for various products.
- VALID Driver's License
