Airoom is experiencing continued growth as one of the nation’s premier design/build remodeling and custom homes specialists. We are seeking an experienced, well rounded Human Resources Manager with heavy emphasis on talent management, recruiting, onboarding and management the 1st year experience. This position is vital to helping department managers plan and recruit qualified candidates to hire, train and lead throughout the organization with tracking of progress
The purpose of this position is to be knowledgeable in hands on human resources, staffing, succession planning and recruiting and managing hires to success. This position will have a strong emphasis on hiring and retention. This position will require strong ability to work autonomously but coordinate with managers and staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Includes working autonomously and within the team to manage the following:
- Recruitment – Identify and recruit potential candidates, identify and develop existing talent, post job openings, track applicants, screen and interview applicants, conduct reference checks, conduct new hire orientation, attend job fairs, coordinate with various departments for staffing needs.
- Management/Process Improvement – Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars. Maintains company organization charts and the employee directory; assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
- Benefits – Demonstrate knowledge of benefits and assist employees with general questions (Health, Dental, Vision, Life, COBRA, FMLA, etc.)
- Compliance – Demonstrate knowledge of required documentation for employment law and compliance.
- Employee Relations – Counsel with employees and Supervisors regarding discipline and supervisory issues, serve as mediator for employees regarding employee relations issues. Create and implement award programs and other moral boosting programs.
- Employment – Review and update job descriptions, hire applicants and administer proper paperwork and assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
- Training – Conduct New Hire Orientation and Conduct or Assist with Supervisory training and regular performance reviews.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required with 10 years of related experience.
- Degree in Human Resource is strongly preferred.
- Ability to write routine reports, job descriptions, performance reviews and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively in one-on-one situations and before groups of managers and employees.
- Proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word) and experience with CRM and EPM systems.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
- PHR or SPHR designation strongly preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000 – $135,000.00 per year plus bonuses
