Role Description
We are seeking a motivated Regional Sales Manager for the New England region. This is a full-time remote opportunity. The Regional Sales Manager will professionally coach a team of Automation / Hydraulics Sales Application Engineers, focusing on driving sales by developing and maintaining trusted relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and promoting the company’s portfolio of fluid power and automation solutions. Key responsibilities include coaching the team on sales positioning and development of Airline Sales Skills MBA, setting regional sales strategies, achieving sales targets, delivering product presentations, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Reports to the Director of Sales.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and meet order and margin goals for the assigned region
- Drive and coach the Growth Plan Opportunity Strategy
- Identify technical gaps in sales staff and develop necessary training in conjunction with vendor partners and PSMs
- Properly align sales staff (key account vs business development) to customers
- Work strategically with other departments to foster a better customer experience
- Work with senior management and sales team to establish yearly sales budgets
- Effectively communicate to the assigned team Airline’s sales strategy
- Effectively manage, including recruiting and performance management to accomplish your region’s goals
- Spend time in one-on-one coaching situations with sales your team.
- Conduct sales meetings that offer sales team a voice to be heard and an opportunity to learn and advise team of new/changing initiatives
- Work across regions to develop continuity of processes and exchanges of best practices
- Coach in accordance with QBS selling
- Deploy the PSM team in coordination with BU managers for deeper Value Creation and Credibility in accounts
- Promote the Casey Brown techniques of Value selling for Margin Improvement
- Promote a culture of Curiosity and Intuition for free thinking
- New APR Cultivation to include: resources, location, marketing plans, training, etc
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Strong sales experience in fluid power, hydraulic, pneumatic, or automation products
- Proven ability in business development, account management, and achieving sales targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently within a remote environment
- Technical knowledge or engineering background in relevant product lines is highly desirable
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the New England region for client meetings
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred
