What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fluid Systems Assembler position at AIRLINE HYDRAULICS CORPORATION?
Responsible for the manufacture of hydraulic machinery from drawings. Must be capable of performing the following duties:
- Read hydraulic and electrical circuit and general arrangement drawings.
- Understand a bill of material and its relationship to a drawing.
- Layout and assemble hydraulic components using hand-held tools.
- Fabricate tubing, piping, and hose assemblies using hand-held and bench-mounted equipment.
- Drill and tap holes using hand-held and bench-mounted power tools.
- Weld carbon steel and stainless steel plates and piping.
- Assist in testing all manufactured assemblies.
- Paint manufactured assemblies if needed.
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Reports to the Shop Foreman.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or graduate equivalency diploma (GED)
- 2-5 years of experience reading hydraulic, electrical circuit, and general arrangement drawings and bills of material preferred
- Welding and painting experience is preferred, a weld test will be performed
- A valid driver’s license is required if the employee will be transporting goods by car or truck
- Onsite training is required to perform job duties that involve operating and/or using tools, machinery, or equipment
