What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Panel Shop Lead position at AIRLINE HYDRAULICS CORPORATION?
The Panel Shop Team Lead position requires running the day to day operations of the panel shop as well as the wiring of electronic components, electrical panels and devices. Use of small hand tools, ability to read a tape measure. Reports to Subassembly Foreman.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee high volume panel shop projects
- Final quality control for the panel shop and signing off on QA paperwork
- Assign tasks for panel shop workers
- Keep track of consumables, parts and shop folders. Inform foreman when issues arise.
- Keep panel shop organized and tidy
- Wiring electrical control panels efficiently in a high volume production setting
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and B.O.M./drawings, engineering prints/specifications, and/or verbal/written instructions
- Responsible for laying out, machining, populating and wiring of electrical control enclosures
- Assembly of mechanical, and/or pneumatic components as required.
- Use common hand tools, drill, taps, saws, knockout punches, and multi-meter.
- Verify work performed by checking continuity or simulated functional test to determine proper component circuitry that meets operational requirements
- May require operation of forklift, if so training will be provided
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must have experience using the skills mentioned above
- Experience in wiring electrical controls panels, UL 508A experience is a plus.
- Read and interpret schematics and electrical specifications as required.
- Working knowledge of AC & DC control circuits, including single and three-phase motor control, PLC terminology/function and basic knowledge of measuring instruments and meters.
- The ability to work with and understand electromechanical functionality
- Knowledge of applicable codes, standards and regulations.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to successfully handle a multi-tasked role in an organized fashion.
- Strong computer skills. Capable of working with all Microsoft Office applications
- Strong time management and organization skills. Must be able to work independently and successfully complete multiple assignments in a deadline driven environment.
