Join our dynamic team at Airgas as a Plant Supervisor and play a vital role in our commitment to delivering excellence in industrial gasses and related products. As a Plant Supervisor, the Plant Supervisor will support and coordinate
activities of plant operators engaged in producing and repackaging compressed and liquid gases into cylinders.

Job Duties:

* Supports the Plant Manager in supervising, training, and evaluating the performance of all plant operators.
* Conduct periodic checks of the generation plant for safe and efficient operation.
* Assigns job tasks to plant operators according to customer needs, current stock levels and workers' expertise.
* Analyze production schedules and estimates man-hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
* Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
* Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules, using
knowledge of capacities of machines and equipment.
* Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, quality of product, and suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.

* High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

* 2 years of production experience, preferably in our industry or a manufacturing or
distribution environment, plus experience supervising, motivating and leading other
associates.
* KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
* Must be able to substitute for plant technicians at each position.
* Ability to read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
* Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
* Must be able to work varied shifts including some overtime, if necessary.
* Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and
backgrounds.
* Must be able to work outdoors in temperatures ranging from -10 to over 110
degrees.
* Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

* Ability to routinely lift 25 - 60 lbs.
* Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours; Frequent bending,
stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, feeling and repetitive motion also required.
