Bulk Driver (local)

• !!! HOME EVERY NIGHT !!!

• Pay scale : $27/Hr to $35.23/Hr depending on hazmat experience

• Pay scale: Drivers without hazmat experience pay is $27/Hr.

• Pay: If someone is hired without a hazmat endorsement, pay will not increase once obtaining this endorsement.

• Monday-Friday schedule with the occasional weekend

• We start work in the morning and end in the late afternoon

• Referral bonus: $1250

• Airgas operates a modern and efficient fleet. Most vehicles are under 6 years old and equipped with driver-friendly technology such as On Board Computers, collision avoidance technology, latest camera technology and GPS navigation.

The driver will be driving 3-4 different trucks hauling products from Nitrogen in a CDL A Bulk truck, Co2 in a microbulk CDL B truck, and gas cylinders in a CDL A or B truck.

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

• Load and unload their truck with gas cylinders & supplies

• Attach and detach hose while driving a microbulk or bulk truck

• Maintain courteous & professional relationships with customers

• Make deliveries in a timely manner

• Safely strap and unstrap cylinders

• Make deliveries on customer property sites using a hand cart, emphasis is given to the physical nature of this position being labor intensive.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL with HAZMAT, Tanker & Airbrake endorsements

• Must be able to and be licensed to drive a standard transmission

• Must have 5 years of CDL A experience or 2 years of tanker experience

• Maintain appropriate driver's license, medical card & endorsements

• No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years

• No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years

• Must be able to work in a drug-free environment

• Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment

• Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 5 years.
